“Caring Love Without Hoops”

Covers 2 Kings 4:1-7 and Luke 20:45 - 21:4.
There are many things in the world that can leave people worrying that they do not have enough, and feeling like they themselves may not be enough. Sometimes we are even tempted to attribute such pressures to how God relates to us. Yet we can see in scripture how God’s love and grace extend over any failure or rejection we may commit, and God’s generosity and abundance provide the conditions for everyone’s thriving. We may sometimes chase comfort and self-worth in trying to hold things over others, but the invitation to be a part of God’s Kingdom of true salvation life is always before us.
