One of the great gifts of salvation and faith life with God we can celebrate is a connection to the breadth and diversity of people all around the world who we are joined into God’s family with. This is an amazing type of belonging to be included in, but connecting with people who are different than us can also be very fraught - especially if any sense of our own insecurity or fear inclines us towards competitiveness for belonging rather than celebrating newness in how we are joined together. What helps us find security in God’s love and presence such that we can share in love with all kinds of others pouring out from what we have all been given?
