“Faith Enough in What?”

Covers Exodus 17:1-7 and Matthew 17:14-23.
When our struggles and challenges keep us feeling stuck, as if no path forward for relief or transformation is on the horizon, we can be left wondering what will bring God moving, or at least connecting more closely with us. There can be a presumption that just forcing more belief, more forceful agreement God can do things, is what is needed. In seeing examples in scripture, though, we may discover that “more faith” is connected more with finding ourselves deeper into the character of our relationship with God that God seeks. Not so much being very stubborn in thinking what we want God will do will happen, but learning more and more how to participate in our invited role with what God is doing for the good of everyone and all creation.
